150 jobs at risk at The Body Shop

Posted by: RedGirl  :  Category: beauty news

It was announced last week by its French owner: The Body Shop is suffering from the bad economic climate and 150 jobs are at risk.

Processes in offices are being looked at, to make operations more streamlined. This means a reorganisation, which fortunately won’t affect store staff. Employees are being asked to come with proposals on how to make the business more efficient by reducing 275 of its global workforce.

The countries that are most affected by the economic crisis are the United Kingdom, Spain and the USA. The company, which is owned by L’Oreal, has more than 9200 employees worldwide. Hopefully the recently launched campaign ‘Nature’s way to beautiful’ can help The Body shop!
