Your wedding day is fast approaching and you are now in one of the crossroads where you need to decide whether you’ll apply the wedding makeup yourself or let an makeup expert do it for you. Here are some decision guides that could help you:
• If you find it challenging to keep a steady hand while applying makeup then it is best to hire an expert during the special day. It is normal to have jitters prior to the actual wedding and keeping a steady hand may be a challenge.
• Already have the dream look in mind? Then you can freely apply the makeup yourself. Just make sure that you have enough time to do this task yourself while thinking of other factors.
• If you are conscious as to how you will look during the actual ceremony, then it is best to leave the wedding makeup task to an expert or to a trusted friend who could fill in.

Parents have another issue to deal with especially when it comes to their teenage kids. The younger generations are now attempting to catch up with the look of sophistication which include make-up as well as clothing and undergarments. Kids are following makeup tips from magazines and attempting to wear the same shades of colors as specified on the written manual. They are also very interested in underwear that is not appropriate for their age like lingerie vests and underwear.
Is this necessary? Parents may ask. Reality dictates that there are now a lot of avenues for teens to get makeup tips. Even if parents forbid their teenage children from applying makeup, chances are these teens will attempt the task in another friends’ house or in school.
The best approach to this is not to forbid but rather to guide your teenage girls from the issue of makeup use. You could suggest gentle makeup products and not those that are used by grown-ups. Eventually, these teenage kids will grow up and it is best that they are properly guided when it comes to makeup application.

Makeup experts agree in this one universal truth – mineral makeup is the in thing and it is now time to say goodbye to regular cosmetics.
According to the experts, mineral makeup has more advantages due to its content. The contents are made out of all natural minerals. This means no synthetic ingredients that could harm the skin. Most of the traditional makeup products have preservatives and dyes which are not present in mineral makeup.
However, consumers must still be aware with what mineral makeup to buy. Experts said that there are a lot of products today that claim to be mineral makeup but they are just regular cosmetics with a mineral makeup packaging. It is best to buy at a reputable retail store for these products.
What’s also good with mineral makeup is that they can easily be removed when no longer needed.

A beauty parlor established specifically for kids sparked political outrage in Scotland as parents and politicians alike denounce such a move to beautify kids who basically don’t care about their looks at such as young age.

The Members of the Scottish Parliament believe that Tantrims and Tiaras salon has gone overboard when it decided to offer complete makeovers, alcohol-free champagnes and fake tattoos to the kids. According to one of the officials, this creates a trend of “sexualizing” young children.
Despite the protests, some parents have already taken their kids to the parlor and can only give glowing reviews, stating that the kids loved the experience and it served as their quality bonding time as families.
MSP Sandra White is spearheading a parliamentary motion this week and will discuss the issue.
The officials believe that children are now being pressured at such a young age to act a certain way and hinder their healthy and natural development. They believe that the pressure can cause stress, anxiety, depression, low self-esteem and eating disorders to the kids. Fellow MSP Margaret Mitchell said that kids should not worry about their physical looks for now and just enjoy their childhood like the way it should be.

Applying too much makeup could ruin your overall look in the process thus makeup experts were generous enough to share some simple tips that you could avail off.
One simple secret shared is for women to apply little amounts of eye makeup. Just by doing this actually creates a big difference in a woman’s look.
The experts reasoned that donning on full makeup everyday could not be achieved at times due to hectic schedules or non-availability of makeup. However, keeping the eyes more presentable can do the trick.
Aside from applying eye makeup, you could curl the eyelashes and use mascara before leaving for work or attending a dinner party. You’ll find it surprising that a visible change on your face is made with these simple tips.
Types of eye makeup to buy would include delicately and discreetly colored ones. Another great item to buy are those waterproof eyeshadow and mascara because they won’t mess up your eyes whenever you shed happy tears during very special occasions such as weddings.
If you have time, you can also undergo skin peel because it would really bring out your best feature whenever you apply eye makeup during those memorable moments.
Experts also suggest choosing make-up colours that match the outfit or occasion and provide a contrast or add to the overall image. For example smokey eyes would look great when wearing lingerie to complete the overall look.

Keeping the makeup fresh all day seems like a daunting task considering that there are factors such as heat and sweat that could make the colors mess up. Most of the time, women will have to go on a break and do some major retouching of the makeup. However, for makeup experts, there are tips that can be followed to keep makeup still looking fresh without spending too much.

* Right concealer: Using the right pencil or stick concealer could keep the color adhering to the skin longer. Avoid oil-based concealers.
* Reduce eye bags by applying the concealer beneath the bag and not on the top as perceived by the most. This would disguise the problem rather than highlighting it.
* Makeup base keeps everything at the right place and keeps the makeup fresh all day. This saves a woman’s time and energy during the day because there’s no more rushing to the comfort room for retouching.
* Retouching may take longer especially if you have realized the makeup mistake. Simply pat down loose powder on the skin where you want to reduce the color if you feel that you have applied too much on the area.
