Launch of the Soy Bean Bra

Eco Friendly

Bras reportedly made from soy bean casings have been launched. Organic clothing online retailer FaeriesDance.com now offers bras that are reportedly made from the soy bean casings discarded during tofu manufacturing.

According to FaeriesDance, the bras are made from a new fabric called Azlon. The said fabric is reportedly developed using the fibrous outer casings of soy beans which would otherwise be thrown out during tofu manufacturing. When reclaimed and mixed with organically grown cotton, the casings are then processed using a closed loop system. The said system makes possible minimal waste and also guarantees no chemical residues.

According to FaeriesDance owner Adrienne Catone, Azlon is good for the environment since the fabric is organic. Catone also shared that a few years ago, her company found soy fabric panties. These were reportedly mostly conservative styles with a boy short and high cut brief from Canada-based Dream Designs.

The bras made out of soy casings are now available at Catone’s online store. Prices start at just $25 per bra and $16 per panty.

FaeriesDance is an eco-friendly online retailer that offers sustainable apparel and intimates. Named after the mythological woodland creatures that live in the heart of the forest, FaeriesDance also offers organic cotton lingerie. The company says part of their goals is to provide a complete environmentally conscious shopping experience for their customers and to sell more eco-friendly clothing, accessories and intimates such as the soy lace bras and panties. The company also says that they use other sustainable and eco-friendly fabrics as well as dyes.

Supermodel, television host and entrepreneur Tyra Banks dished out more information on the latest season of “America’s Next Top Model” which is currently on its 15th season. According to Banks, this season’s contestants are so far the “best” yet. The show chronicles the transformation of everyday young women into potentially fierce supermodels.

Socialite Nicky Hilton prefers the simple life

Just when we thought that it was Paris Hilton who prefers the “simple life,” it is actually her sister who’s going down that road whenever she can.Nicky Hilton

Recently, Hilton was photographed walking with her boyfriend David Katzenberg and she was wearing a cotton dress and flip-flops and without any visible make-up.

Photographs reveal that Nicky Hilton prefers being fresh faced and wearing comfortable cotton dresses during her free time, as evidenced by her walking down the streets of Los Angeles recently. Hilton is one of the most in-demand models in the industry but if she does get her free time, she would rather exchange those sophisticated dresses and heavy make up with outfits that are simple & comfortable and allow her skin to breathe.

The older sister of Paris definitely does have an eye for fashion too, as is well documented. Earlier this week, she was seen carrying a number of Louis Vuitton handbags as she arrived at the Sydney International Airport. It’s been reported that Hilton will model for designer Charlie Brown at the 2010 Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival.

penders, stockings make way in the fashion industry once more

Posted by: RedGirl  :  Category: beauty

Sales of suspenders and stockings are increasing once more as more and more women copy popular celebrities such as Lady Gaga and Kylie Minogue, wearing heel lingerie stockings during their performances. Their “underwear as outerwear” look seems to have attracted the masses.

High Street retailer Debenhams attributed the increase in sales in the cooler weather where consumers can get away by wearing the aforementioned items.

The retailer revealed that black suspender belts and stockings have become in demand with sales rising by more than 230 percent over the past month. This resulted to the store searching for more patterns to accommodate the increasing customer demand.

The interest in suspenders and stockings declined a few decades ago due to the emergence of supporting tights. However, Debenhams spokesperson Ruth Attridge said that the unpredictable weather has worked wonders on how they’re selling their products.
