The Royal Wedding was estimated to have been witnessed by more than 2 billion viewers worldwide and the bride – “Duchess of Cambridge” Kate Middleton, was not the only one who got the attention of the masses but also her sister who wore one of the most stunning bridesmaid dresses designed by Alexander McQueen.

The Maid of Honour, a sultry brunette, performed her duties well at her sister’s wedding and the way she carried herself during the Royal wedding earned her millions of admirers worldwide.

According to reports, searches for her name have increased astronomically since Friday. Pippa Middleton has now been dubbed as one of the most eligible women in Britain despite public’s knowledge that she currently has a boyfriend. There are even rumours now circulating about herself and Prince Harry!

The 27-year old is gaining media mileage of her own due to her affiliations with Princesses Beatrice and Eugenie, who are part of the so-called “party crowd” in Britain. What do you make of her look?

If there’s so much pressure coming from choosing the perfect wedding dress for a bride, it must be triple than that when it comes to finding the perfect one for a highly anticipated film.

According to reports, a designer wedding dress is expected to be worn by the actress Kristen Stewart, who is renowned for her natural good looks, in the upcoming Twilight film “Breaking Dawn.” This is the newest movie adaption of one of the best-selling series authored by Stephenie Meyer. The film is scheduled for release by November 2011.

Stewart said that she doesn’t have much hand in the decision-making when it comes to how the film goes or what costumes should be worn, nor how her make-up should be or even what lingerie she should wear. She added that it all boils down to Meyer’s final preference. Though she’s not sure what her wedding dress design would be, Stewart is confident that the designer wedding dress will be very beautiful.

We’ve heard of makeover attempts made to make the woman beautiful. This time, there’s a twist as Kotex brand launched its “Kotex Project Makeunder” project. The brand has partnered with celebrity stylist George Kotsiopoulos and Emmy-Award winning comedian and performer Kathy Griffin in making several women a chance to have a major “makeunder” and star in an online video series that documents the journey that they went through.

The five-webisode series was officially launched this week in Kotex Project Makeunder website. The three winners had a great time with the celebrities as the latter aided them in finding the best underwear to make them feel very beautiful. The three winners shared that they felt sad for they felt that they’ve lost their luster after having children.

Kotex Brand Director Aida Flick said that they hope that the series will inspire a lot of women everywhere to have their own “makeunder”, and celebrity their own personal beauty instead of hiding it under layers of make-up.

Just when we thought that it was Paris Hilton who prefers the “simple life,” it is actually her sister who’s going down that road whenever she can.

Recently, Hilton was photographed walking with her boyfriend David Katzenberg and she was wearing a cotton dress and flip-flops and without any visible make-up.

Photographs reveal that Nicky Hilton prefers being fresh faced and wearing comfortable cotton dresses during her free time, as evidenced by her walking down the streets of Los Angeles recently. Hilton is one of the most in-demand models in the industry but if she does get her free time, she would rather exchange those sophisticated dresses and heavy make up with outfits that are simple & comfortable and allow her skin to breathe.

The older sister of Paris definitely does have an eye for fashion too, as is well documented. Earlier this week, she was seen carrying a number of Louis Vuitton handbags as she arrived at the Sydney International Airport. It’s been reported that Hilton will model for designer Charlie Brown at the 2010 Rosemount Sydney Fashion Festival.

The Republican Party reportedly spent $95,000 for hair and makeup alone of vice presidential nominee and Alaska Governor Sarah Palin.

According to the data released by Federal Election Commission, makeup artist Amy Strozzi received $60,385 for her services between September 1 and November 24 while hairstylist Angela Lew got $34,830 within the same period.

Despite their actual roles, the campaign party only listed Strozzi’s service as “personnel service” while Lew was included under the “get out the vote consultant” list.

Meanwhile, the Republican National Committee reported that it spent more than $150,000 for Palin’s clothes plus additional $18,000 during the final stretch of the campaign period. The items were reportedly bought at Neiman Marcus, Macy’s and others.

The commission’s report also revealed that the GOP spent $2,953 at Neiman Marcus, $2,510 at Macy’s and $4,542 at Saks Fifth Avenue in October. The breakdown of these amounts were not specified but only declared as expenditures in relation to the McCain campaign. Other minor expenditures include handbags from Kate Spade, spa treatments and items from Toys R Us worth $152.

Despite these figures, the McCain camp only spent $84.1 million on the general election campaign as opposed to Democratic nominee and now newly-elected President Barack Obama’s camp which spent almost $350 million.

Sarah Jessica Parker, would also refuse to consider the idea of plastic surgery, standing apart from the rest of the celebrity crowd. But recently, it appears that the off-beat beauty has succumed to the pressure of the spotlight and had her distinctive small facial mole removed.

She has been denying reports that the beauty spot has been removed from her chin despite it going from a distinctive mole to an almost invisible blemish.

Perhaps the witchy remarks from blogging sights finally got to her, after it being described as distracting, she decided to get rid of it, all the while appearing to be unconcerned about the imperfection.
Women are increasingly under pressure to have facial imperfections removed, to live up to the perfect skinned celebrities that are portrayed by the media. Photos - especially with bikini models in it - are airbrushed beyond recognition at times, leaving the regular woamn to believe the celebs skin is flawless and clear of imperfections.

Beauty spots or facial moles are not so popular these days, although stars like Marlene Dietrich, Marilyn Monroe and Elizabeth Taylor all sported them. Madonna had her mole removed from her top lip, Enrique Iglesias had his removed from his cheek and Ewan McGregor had two removed, but this was said to be for cancer concerns. Cindy Crawford kept her signiture dark mole despite being asked to remove it early on in her career.

Gorgeous Jennifer Anniston, 39 is said to be desperately trying to delay the ageing to hang onto toy-boy musician John Mayer, 30.

Since the pair have hooked, it has been reported that Jen has been shelling out up to $20,000 a month on beauty treatments, although I can’t see why (I was firmly in the Anniston camp during the Jen vs Angelina days, and I always will be). She is apparently doing everything other than plastic surgery, including anti cellulite spa sculpting treatments for her legs, (costing $1000 per session), lessons with top yoga instructor Mandy Ingber and personal training sessions (costing up to $3000 per month) and she also has a private chef who provides organic, high protein and low-fat meals (at a cost of $3500 per month).

But it appears that her efforts may have been in vain after reports of Mayer trying to pick up other women when on tour in Europe. But it all sounds a bit fishy to me… a chance to get her name in the news - Chaton Anderson, from California, claims he gave her his cell number (that’s a mobile) but later the phone was conveniently stolen…yeah right.

Agyness Deyn, one of the hottest models of the moment has faced a bit a set back in her quest for domination of the modelling industry, when Burberry announced they were axing her as the face of their latest campaign. Perhaps Kalyani should have a look at her?

Deyn, real name Laura Hollins has been replaced by her former friend (the girls are said to have fallen out over it). With Agyness apparently blanking Rosie, who is rumoured to be the next Kate Moss, since she was announced as the face of Burberry’s Autumn Winter campaign. Rosie has hit back by describing Agy’s look as a ‘one-off season look’, well she seems to have stuck around so far Rosie!

Rosie has already fronted other big ad campaigns for Victoria’s Secret and D&G Underwear. She was discovered in 2003 while studying at Tavistock College and doing work experience at model agency Profile in the West End of London. They signed her up immediately and she is now set to make the big time.

Deyn, 25, will continue to front the Burberry fragrance campaign. She has recently branched out from modelling by singing backing vocals for the Five O’Clock Heroes.

Brooke Shields, 43, rose to fame as a child model and actress is set to publish her first book on Tuesday next week. The children’s book, a 145 word story is called the “Welcome to your World, Baby”, written through the eyes of her five-year old daughter Rowan, and how she had eagerly anticipated the arrival of younger sister Grier, now aged 2.

Shields struggled with postpartum depression after the birth of Rowan. As she looks back over writing the short story, she said she found it more difficult than the pain she went through during that time. She also compares writing the book to to writing her memoirs “Down Came the Rain”, again saying the children’s book was the hardest to write. She explained that when writing a children’s book so much has to be said in the drawings and all has to explained in just one or two lines.

The actress is starting filming this week of the second season of “Lipstick Jungle” on NBC, and she has recently finished her second children’s book, a story of two little girls who get to spend alone time with their father and dog.
