A salon located in upstate South Carolina is giving back to the community by helping unemployed individuals get free hair cuts so that they will have the confidence the next time they’ll have interviews with prospective employers.

Wisteria Salon, located at Greenville, will be providing free hair cuts this weekend. Salon employee Amanda Graber said that this is the salon’s way to help those who are in need of a job in times of economic crisis. She added that in order to nail the interview, the person must have confidence on his or her physical look.

Salon employees said that there’s no need for customers to bring any document to avail of the free hair cut. They’ll assume the people coming this weekend to be unemployed persons. They shared that they have been getting a lot of phone calls this week regarding that matter.

Free hair cuts from the salon are available from 3:00 pm to 7:00 pm on Saturday and 10:00 am to 4:00 pm on Sunday.

Several establishments have been providing assistance to the unemployed in any way they can. In the past months, several clothing stores have been giving free professional clothing.

It’s summertime once more! That means for those with curly hair, it’s going to be a bit of a nightmare maintaining the locks at this time of the year when the Ugg boots and wellies still need to be donned. However, experts shared some of their great tips that would make summertime hassle-free for curly-haired individuals:

• Avoid towel drying your hair because the friction of the hair and the towel will add to the unnatural frizz. It would be better to apply gels and mousses while the hair is still wet. Use lightweight frizz control products as much as possible.

• Apply thermal protectant products on your hair first before using the straightening iron. These products must contain dimethicone and amodimethicone. According to experts, these ingredients produce a protective film on the hair so it won’t suffer damage when using the iron.

• Keep a refreshing spray on your purse and apply it on hair from time to time. The head can actually make your hair oily due to the sweat emanating from the scalp.

• Use a shampoo that contains keratin. It keep the curls bouncy.

• Use a condition after shampoo in order to maintain silky smoothness of the hair.

Have a great summer!Technorati Tags: , ,

The Basics of Bob Hair Style

Posted by: RedGirl  :  Category: haircuts

The Bob hair style is among those classic hairstyles and hair cuts that never seem to go out of trend and fashion. No matter what the fashion is, bob is always there. There are three basic bob hair styles available. Read through and check out which one is best for you.

1.    Sleek one-length cut

This is the most conservative Bob hair style but although it is the most conservative and perhaps the most classic, it is always in fashion and style. This Bob hair cut can be trimmed and cut to a length attractive enough for any face shape. The Bob hair style is worn without bangs giving the frontal length more drama. This Bob hair cut may be styles by damping the hair with mousse or volumizing gel and gets you looking like Freya.

2.    Flippy Bob

This is a flirty variation of Bob hair style. It is layered in the bottom around two inches in length and is worn with bangs textured with mousse or gel.

3.    Curly Bob

This Bob hair style is done by layering more of the bottom to release the natural curl. This hair cut is styled by generously applying a mousse or an encouraging gel.

No matter which style you choose, it should be natural and shiny. Just keep your style easy to manage, simple and attractive to carry the Bob trademark.
