Cut back on prom costs and not style
Posted by: RedGirl : Category: Hair
It’s the time of the year where teenagers prepare for the prom and due to the hard times, it has been a challenge to dress up (especially for girls) without spending too much. For girls, it’s about finding a good dress, shoes, accessories, bags, jewelry and of course – prom hair style.
Fortunately, experts have been sharing some great tips to cut back on costs but not on style:
Check out several stores before making the purchase. Chances are, there’s one out there that gives great discounts on prom dresses. Bear in mind that the stores are also slashing the prices of their merchandise due to economic crisis.- Check the internet. Weeks before the prom night, have a look on the latest deals online.
- Consider wearing shorter prom dress. Long gowns understandably cost more due to materials used. There are decent short dresses that cost less yet look great.
- Buy a simple dress with clean-cut designs and when you get home, exercise your creative side by designing the dress with your own trimmings.
- Good supporting lingerie does not have to be expensive. You’ll feel like a queen wearing a Freya bra.
- Let go of pricey and fancy hairdo. Prom hair style doesn’t have to be complicated and showy.
- If you have close relatives or friends, ask them if you can borrow jewelry or bags. Remember, prom is just a one night event – so you don’t need to spend so much on these items for just a one-nighter.
