Dethroned beauty queen denies allegations that led to termination
Carrie Prejean, the dethroned Miss California USA, once again made it to the media headlines this week after business mogul Donald Trump announced that she’s official fired. Last month, it was the latter that defended the beauty queen from negative media publicity..jpg)
The 22-year old stated through her attorney Charles LiMandri that she was shocked about the termination.
LiMandri said that the allegations thrown against Prejean ranging from unprofessionalism to unauthorized book deals were unfounded.
It can be remembered that Miss California was in the running of the Miss USA title a couple of months ago. However, her answer stating that she’s against same sex marriage allegedly cost her the crown. She finished first runner up. Since then, she’s been subject to intense media publicity and it further escalated when semi-nude pictures of the beauty queen surfaced online.
Former Miss USA Shanna Moakler, who served as co-executive director of the Miss California pageant, resigned last month when Trump decided that Prejean will stay on as the state’s beauty queen. However, when this development came out, she immediately sent her message via social networking site Twitter that her “faith has been restored” in the Miss Universe Organization.
