Experts warn customers on use of old eye makeup
A reputable research firm revealed that less than thirty percent of women in Great Britain replace cosmetics such as eye makeup if it discolors.
According to Mintel, the actual figure was set at 28 percent which means that the rest are still making use of discolored makeup without realizing that these are already dangerous to use, as confirmed by makeup experts.
Cosmetic experts stated that when these products expire, they are no longer safe to use. This is similar to the concept of food items going beyond expiry date. Women tend to save more by replacing their cosmetics such as eye makeup near the expiry date rather than use the outdated one and suffer the consequences such as getting irritated skin. This may lead to more expensive appointments with the dermatologist.
Experts stressed that it is best to check the expiry date of cosmetic products before purchasing them.
